Two Fellows Honored with ABA’s 2024 On the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers Award

Two Fellows were honored with the ABA’s 2023 On the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers Award. The ABA’s “On the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers” Award program provides national recognition of ABA Young Lawyers Division members who exemplify a broad range of high achievement, innovation, vision, leadership, and service to the profession and their communities.

The two Fellows are:

Brittanie Browning, Fellow

Leana Serey Taing, Fellow

Browning is currently an associate at Akerman, on the litigation team. She worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia in the Elections, Education, Local Government, and Judiciary section. She was also named to Georgia State University’s 2024 40 Under 40 class by the Alumni Association.

Taing is currently a Deputy County Counsel with the Office of County Counsel in Los Angeles County. She also serves as an adjunct lecturer at USC Gould School of Law, where she teaches legal writing. She currently serves on the ABA Council for Diversity in the Educational Pipeline as the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (“NAPABA”) liaison.
