Pennsylvania Fellow Clifford E. Haines

At this week's annual meeting in Hershey, the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) will be welcoming a new leadership team. Clifford E. Haines, president of the Philadelphia law firm of Haines & Associates, will become president-elect at the conclusion of the organization's annual meeting on Friday. Haines is on schedule to become president of the 29,000-member state legal association in 2009.

A former Zone One Governor representing Philadelphia lawyers on the PBA Board of Governors, Haines currently serves in the PBA House of Delegates and as a Pennsylvania delegate in the American Bar Association House of Delegates. A former chair of the PABAR-PAC, Haines is the co-chair of the PBA Long Range Planning/Strategic Goals Committee and the PBA Planning Committee. He is a director of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.

Haines is a former chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association. He is a member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is a former chair and current member of the board of directors of Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts. Haines is a Senate-approved board member of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and serves on the board of directors of the Philadelphia Opera Company. He is a graduate of Muskingum College and the Ohio State University School of Law.
