September 11, 2013, ABF news

The ABF kicked off a new academic year with the launch of our 2013-14 Seminar Series onWednesday, September 11, 2013. This year’s series, chaired by ABF Research Professors Jothie Rajah and Susan Shapiro, welcomes scholars from diverse academic disciplines.

The ABF’s three new doctoral fellows, Maureen Craig, Kasey Hendricks, and Alisha Holland,  opened the series with introductions to their work. Read abstracts of their presentations here.

Research Seminars take place most Wednesdays at noon during the academic year in the Woods Conference Room. They are open to the public.  To see the full schedule of Research Seminars for Fall 2013, please visit our Events Calendar.

In addition to the weekly seminar series, the ABF welcomes nine new visiting scholars in the 2013-14 academic year, the highest number we have had in several years. We also continue our efforts to increase diversity in the legal profession through the planning of the third annual Research Group on Legal Diversity conference and our on-going search to appoint the William H. Neukom Research Chair in Diversity and Law
