Texas Life Patron Fellow Blake Tartt

Life Patron Fellow Blake Tartt will receive the Texas Bar Foundation's Outstanding Fifty Year Attorney Award in 2010. The Outstanding Fifty Year Attorney Award was the first award established by the Texas Bar Foundation in 1974. The award recognizes lawyers who have adhered for fifty years or more to the highest principles and traditions of the legal profession and service to the public.
Mr. Tartt's career has been marked by tireless service to both his clients and the Bar. He has served as the President of the State Bar of Texas, the Chair of the Board of the Texas Bar Foundation, and Chair of the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation. At the American Bar Association, he has served on the Board of Governors, in the House of Delegates, and as Chair of the Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary. Mr. Tartt served The Fellows of the American Bar Foundation in the roles of Texas State Chair and International Co-Chair prior to his 1987-1988 term as Chair of The Fellows. Mr. Tartt is a partner in the firm of Beirne, Maynard & Parsons, LLP.
