Amy L. Sommers, International Life Fellow, Releases Debut Novel

Earlier this year, International Life Fellow and civic activist Amy L. Sommers released her first fiction novel, Rumors from Shanghai. Ms. Sommers researched the novel while working at the Shanghai office of K&L Gates, where she was a partner. The book is about an African-American law graduate living, working, and playing in 1940s Shanghai when he accidentally discovers Japan’s plot to bomb Pearl Harbor.
