Life Patron Fellow, ABF Board Member, and Former Chair of The Fellows Leonard H. Gilbert

 Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Leonard H. Gilbert, a partner in the firm's Tampa office, has been elected president of The Eleventh Circuit Historical Society, Inc.

The purpose of The Eleventh Circuit Historical Society is to keep a record of the history of the courts of the Eleventh Circuit as institutions and of the judges who have served these courts. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit has jurisdiction over federal cases originating in the states of Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

Mr. Gilbert is a member of the firm's Financial Services Practice Group and represents clients in the areas of commercial finance, asset based lending, creditors' rights, insolvency, arbitration and commercial litigation. He is recognized as a top bankruptcy and creditors' rights lawyer by Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America, and is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.

Mr. Gilbert is a former president of The Florida Bar and member of its Board of Governors. He is a current member of the American Bar Association's House of Delegates and formerly served as the director of the American Bar Foundation.
